Hi, I’m Shirley Lee – your family dentist in Hoppers Crossing.
I’ve been practising dentistry since 1999, after graduating from the University of Adelaide. During my studies, I was honoured to receive the Thomas D. Hannon Prize in my third year, as well as the Australian Society of Orthodontists (SA Branch) Prize in my final year.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of caring for wonderful patients in both Malaysia and Australia – although I still believe Melbourne has the best coffee!
After more than 25 years in dentistry, my passion for what I do continues to grow with every patient I meet. I enjoy getting to know people of all ages and particularly love working with children. For me, one of the most rewarding parts of dentistry is building long-term relationships with patients and their families and helping them feel comfortable and confident about their dental care.
I believe every family deserves access to quality, affordable dental care. This belief has been at the heart of my career and is why I have dedicated myself to general and family dentistry.
I am committed to continually updating my skills and knowledge across all areas of dentistry, including implantology, so I can provide personalised treatment and the best possible care for every patient. My goal is not only to treat dental problems, but also to help my patients maintain healthy, functional and confident smiles for years to come.

Hi, I’m Vanessa Kao. I have been practising dentistry since 1999, with clinical experience in both Australia and Taiwan. Over the years, I have developed broad experience and expertise across all aspects of general and family dentistry.
I have known Shirley since our university days. Coming from similar backgrounds and sharing many of the same values, we have developed a very similar philosophy towards dentistry. We understand and communicate with each other exceptionally well. I believe this strong professional relationship is a great advantage for our patients, allowing us to work together seamlessly to provide consistent, personalised care.
I believe in patient-centred care and take the time to listen to each patient, understand their individual needs and concerns, and involve them in decisions about their dental health.
I also believe that visiting the dentist can be a calm, comfortable and positive experience. I strive to create a friendly and supportive environment where patients feel relaxed, respected and confident in their care.
I am passionate about helping my patients maintain a healthy and functional smile for life. Every patient is different, and I believe treatment should be tailored to their individual needs, goals and circumstances.
I speak both English and Mandarin fluently, which allows me to communicate comfortably with a diverse range of patients and families.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy reading, listening to music, cooking, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
